Exhibition: China and the World themed exhibition

The themed exhibition area - Exhibition: China and the World will be supported by ASC and the Computational Design Academic Committee of the ASC and convened by Harbin Institute of Technology School of Architecture. Mr. Qiu Xinxian, professor and dean of School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology will be the chief curator of the themed exhibition which includes a achievement exhibition of ASC International Cooperation, 2021-UIA China Pavilion, a project exhibition of Asian Institute of Architects, a project exhibition of Hong Kong Architectural Society (HKAS), as well as a joint exhibition by Tsinghua University, Southeast University, Tongji University, Tianjin University, South China University of Technology, Chongqing University, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology with special support by Shanghai Fengyuzhu Culture Technology Co.,ltd.. The themed exhibition is a jointly exhibition for scientific payoffs - ∑ Architecture x Technology x Future, to present from multiple perspectives and to interpret that China and the world are inseparable in the field of architecture. After a century of changes, the wisdom and power of Chinese architecture will have a more profound impact on world architecture.

Technology Driven Beijing Winter Olympics

Beijing won the bid for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games with the co-host city Zhangjiakou on July 31, 2015. Beijing 2022 will be a grand symbolic event to be recorded in history.

Beijing will also become the world’s first city that holds both of the Olympics summer and winter games. Beijing 2022 will implement the bidding concepts of frugal hosting and sustainable development into the Technology Driven Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 Action Plan.

At the site of the show, led by the Architectural Media Academic Committee of the ASC, the Architects Branch and the Sports Architecture Branch of the ASC, convened by the School of Architecture of Tsinghua University and the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University, as well as cooperated by the Beijing Architectural Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and China Building Standard Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., the exhibition area of Technology Driven Beijing Winter Olympics will focus on the Beijing 2022 key special implementation work, presenting how Beijing, Yanqing, and Zhangjiakou plan, design and construct to meet users’ demands in terms of organizing, participating and attending the event. The exhibition will showcase China’s strength in high-tech and innovations, as well as demonstration projects.

The rapid urbanization process in the past few decades has brought about tremendous changes in China's cities and villages. The development of cities has entered the era of stocks from the increment. Thus increasingly refined and complex design thinkings have gradually emerged.

CADE will be convened by the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University. Professor Li Xiangning will be the chief curator. named Contemporary Chinese Cities and Architectural Practice, the special exhibition area will tend to deliver the architectural practice thinking of Shanghai, Chengdu and other cities, as well as to showcase the breakthrough of contemporary Chinese architects from traditional architectural professions. How do contemporary Chinese architects put design thinking in a broader context, combining city positioning and developing trends, plus industrial transformation and upgrading, to further promote the development of the city with architectural design.

Bounded·Boundless - Integration of Indoor and Outdoor themed exhibition

Bounded·Boundless, the Integration of Indoor and Outdoor themed exhibition will be convened by the Interior Design Branch of the ASC and Foshan Environmental Design Association. Mr. Chen Liang, secretary-general of the Branch and Mr. Xie Zhiming, chairman of the Association will be the curators.  Cooperated with Shenzhen Yang & Associate Group, this themed exhibition includes prefabrication & art installation shows and themed salons to showcase the integrated indoor and outdoor scene applications. The exhibition aims to enhance the communication between architects and interior designers and enable close coordination between design and construction. The integrated design concept of indoor and outdoor makes the modern indoor space environment  more scientific, reasonable and humanized, the building to develop sustainably, the construction with environmentally protection, in the end, have a positive effect on the future space design.

Rebirth - Urban Regeneration exhibition

This themed exhibition area will be curated by Bo Hongtao(薄宏涛), director and chief architect of CCTN, jointly curated by architects including Liu Yuyang (刘宇扬), Song Yehao (宋晔皓), Meng Fanhao (孟凡浩), Zhang Haiao (张海翱), to name a few. Themed as Rebirth, this exhibition will comprehensively showcase diversified renewal projects in urban regeneration. It aims to discuss diversified urban regeneration practices and its vigorous process.

This exhibition area is led by the China Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Liu Heng, Dean of the Green Architecture Design and Research Institute will be the chief curator. This exhibition will interpret the green and low-carbon design concepts, methods and strategies through immersive multimedia interactive experience and technical means. Highlighting the research results of positive green design under the guidance of architects, the exhibition will look forward to the new development trend of high-quality green buildings in the low-carbon era and the practical results of building production capacity.

Meanwhile, many demonstration projects of the Chinese green architecture designs will be presented to lead green development with design practice, and provide the industry with local, humane, low-carbon, longeval, and smart green building model projects.

Towards Balance - the Unity of Form and Quality themed exhibition

The Unity of Form and Quality themed exhibition is jointly exhibited by the Center for Balance Architecture of Zhejiang University and the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Zhejiang University. Dong Danshen, Director of the Center and chief architect of the Institute will be chief curator. The Unity of Form and Quality is a methodological research of balanced architecture, by exploring the self-consistent of architectural connotation and extension, to construct a balanced order united with form and quality mutually supported by value logic and formal logic. This themed exhibition will continue to uphold the balanced architectural concept of the unity of emotion and reason, the unity of skills, and the unity of form and quality, to showcase the practice and exploration of balanced architecture in form and quality by the  Center and Institute of ZJU.
