“CADE is an important platform for everyone to participate and communicate. In this platform, you do quickly learn the newly developed materials and technologies, as well as have direct exchange with different leading companies and specialists via certain projects. I think, through CADE, we can get exact growth and expansion. It is a very good platform for the whole industry.”

—— Satoshi Ohashi, Director of Zaha Hadid Architects

“No matter if it is due to pandemic or not, architects are designing for higher quality of life, rather than a symbolic work. Architects and urban planners are gradually changing from considering things to people more. (While due to COVID-19) it’s been a while without holding any large event. This edition is particularly expected by the academics and industry players. It is very meaningful that we can discuss things face to face and focus on the issues with common concern.”

——Prof. Zhang Li, Dean of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University

“My topic at BCC2020 was ‘Complexity’ Design . Through two projects - an urban complex in Frankfurt and an unfinished football stadium in Pudong, Shanghai, I shared some experience in complex projects especially in digital design and complex function design. I found it was very interesting to have professional discussions with the audience after my sharing. BCC gives us an opportunity for exchange and progress. ”

“I am very honored to be invited by BCC to host the Future of Living and Working session. This year is very special as we are still in pandemic. COVID-19 has had a great impact on people’s life in the world, which also caused us to think more about the living style of today, tomorrow, and the future. I look forward to see different inspirations during the event.

“Regarding to the contemporary architecture and urban development, there is communication and integration across the boundaries and culture. Besides, the application of advanced science and technology in architecture will bring brand new changes in the market. The above two points are my biggest concern before the Expo.
